Margin Requirements
Trading with GFT Online Forex Trading is
conducted with position sizes based on lots
where each lot is 100,000 units of the base
currency. For example, 1 lot of EUR/USD
is 100,000 Euros, and 1 lot of USD/JPY is
100,000 US Dollars. Margin Requirements
are $500 per lot, equivalent to approximately
0.5% (200:1 leverage). For example, a trader
who wishes to open a new position of 5 lots
of EUR/USD (equivalent to a 500,000 Euro
position) will need 5 x 500 = $2,500 of
usable margin

5). These charges/credits approximately
match interbank conventions. The exact amount,
in dollars per lot, can be viewed from your
